Wheego Electric Cars, manufacturer of all-electric cars, today announced it will unveil a prototype of its full-speed version at the Washington Auto Show January 26, 2010.

“This car will shake up the landscape of the American auto industry,” predicts Wheego CEO Mike McQuary. “At a target price of $32,000, plus a $7,500 Federal Tax Credit which brings it down to $24,500, it is the first affordable all-electric car. This summer, it will be fully crash-tested and highway-ready. Americans are eager to step up to the plate and take charge of our energy independence and address environmental issues; all we have lacked is the right car for the job. In mid-2010, Wheego will answer that call.”

WHEEGO ELECTRIC CARS, manufacturer of all-electric cars, today announced it has finalized a ground-breaking Trade-Up Program for customers to move from Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) which they are selling now, to the Full Speed Vehicles (FSVs) expected next year.

Anytime within 24 months of their purchase of the Wheego LSV, a customer may trade up their Wheego LSV for a full speed Wheego (when available) and receive a trade-up credit of 50% of the original purchase price of their LSV toward the purchase of a full speed Wheego.

Hyundai introduce first LPG hybrid


Hyundai have launched their first hybrid vehicle (TV commercial after the break) and one with a difference, the world’s first LPG electric hybrid.  The Hyundai Elantra LPI hybrid contains a four cylinder 1.6 LPI engine and backs that with a 15kw electric motor and will provide upto 42mpg.  The new combination will only produce 99grams/km CO2 emissions and qualifies as a Super Low Emissions Vehicle.
